Functions:
  • Product and Sales support. Provide product technical presentations and demonstrations to resellers and their customers. Support the sales process
  • Interface with reseller's and customer's technical and sales staff
  • Identify opportunities based on complex requirements
  • Provide technical input into the development of sales proposals, including identification of equipment, contractors and third party vendors required to complete projects
  • Analyze requirements and produce engineering designs and BOMs that utilize company's products for networking and communications solutions
  • Technical analysis of customer requirements related to design, development and implementation of IP Voice/data/networking requirements.
  • Ensure products and services are effectively delivered to the customer
  • Obtain and maintain technical certifications necessary for success
  • Work as specialized consulting resource for sales team to communicate value proposition of technology
  • Other duties as assigned

 Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Current certifications Cisco CCIE required
  • Must have at least 5 years successful experience in support of sales of technical products such as VoIP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and/or enterprise IT systems
  • Must have at least 3 years successful experience presenting complex technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Must have at least 2 years successful experience writing technical documents from whitepapers to RFPs
  • Ability to work closely with the sales team to maximize account coordination
  • Good understanding of sales and support process and practices
  • Ability to present complex technology to technical and non-technical customer audiences
  • Ability to communication unique value proposition
  • Ability to identify additional sales opportunities and customer needs based on technical input
  • Independent professional who executes job assignments with limited supervision
  • Self-starter ability to initiate and drive business with little to no supervision
  • Prefer candidate with military background or experience and understanding of federal space
  • Additional engineering certifications may be required
  • Will be required to obtain a US secret clearance

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Current certifications Cisco CCNA, CCDA or CCVP preferred.
  • VoIP or Unified Communications experience preferred
