Position Description:

Certified PeopleSoft HR 8.9 consultant to serve as Time & Labor Functional Consultant. The project is to customize the data entry pages of PeopleSoft Time and Labor to improve efficiency, at the same time utilizing the delivered functionality of PeopleSoft Time and Labor.

Should have Functional experience of Time & Labor: knowing all the functions of PeopleSoft T&L, and how to utilize all of those functions, and explain them to others. Should have good experience with fit/gap analysis, meeting with focus groups and users of PeopleSoft, identifying requirements, gathering requirements, patience, etc. This is not a hardcore development position, although the candidate may work with developers to explain requirements, and it may be useful to have some knowledge of development. K-12 experience is important for candidate to understand customer concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather functional requirements for timekeeping processes performed by 100 schools and central office departments.
  • Analyze requirements to determine which functions are met by the delivered Time and Labor module and which will require custom development.
  • Create mock-ups and specifications for customized screens and reports.
  • Communicate with functional staff and IT staff
  • Coordinate functional and system testing.
  • Develop PS queries to support HR, finance and management reporting requirements.
  • Develop user training document and transfer knowledge of the time and labor configuration to customer staff as needed.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

  • 5+ years experience with PeopleSoft Time & Labor, HRMS, and Payroll modules, including K-12 Education experience.
  • Multiple Time & Labor implementations including Fit/Gap analysis, System Configuration including TRC programs, workgroups, paygroups, approval process, Time & Labor Rules development, and Testing.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into functional Time & Labor definitions, create mock-up pages, define reports requirements and work with IT to complete the development.
  • Must have PS 8.9 experience. PS 9.0 experience is a plus.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
