Length of Engagement: 6 month Contract

Position Description:

Develop enhancements and maintain the Content Central user interface to the P8 Enterprise Content Management system.

Content Central is an in-house developed application supporting clients across the enterprise. Support the ECS release process by delivering new configurations as scheduled and specified.

Responsibilities

Work with clients and other IT groups to develop and test new configurations, maintain application configuration XML files, manage code through a release process, and deliver on project requirements.
Provide technical support and diagnose and resolve routine system problems.

Handle routine development issues.

Research and analyze data.

Work with vendor to resolve problems with software and respond to client suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

• Knowledge of application development techniques in a J2EE framework using Java, javascript, XML, and SQL.
• 3 years experience with relevant technologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in the industry or in an environment whose scope, size, and complexity are comparable.
• Understanding of structured analysis and technical design concepts.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience with Enterprise Content Management systems preferred, in particular P8 and other FileNet ECM products.
