Length of Engagement: Contract to Hire

Position Description:

As a member of the warehouse management systems (WMS) team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a vendor supplied WMS package to meet our clients needs.

This position requires a significant amount of multi-tasking and the ability to complete projects under tight timelines. You will work with both clients and business analysts to design and develop cost effective solutions.

This position could see moderate levels of travel globally which is usually concentrated at project implementation. You will also share in the on-call support rotation with the rest of the team members. Your knowledge of warehousing, distribution and inventory control practices would be an added bonus.

We currently have over 40 implementations globally utilizing several generations of this software package with platforms that vary from UNIX, UNIX Windows client/server, Windows.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

• 2 years professional experience with object oriented development. preferably with C++.
• Professional experience performing analysis and design with an emphasis on testing.
• Experience developing with integration to relational databases such as INFORMIX and SQL Server.
• Experience programming in an UNIX environment.
• Strong with MS-Office applications.
• Scripting with tools such as PERL, JAVA Script, SED, AWK, KORN
